Okay, so I told you what I thought about Lon Chaney's Phantom- but today I watched Nosferatu. Oh my gosh. There are a lot of things I didn't know could be terrifying- like the xylophone- but this movie showed me the error of my ways. A few times though, I actually laughed out loud. For instance, the words, "I am going to travel far away to the country of thieves and ghosts" probably isn't the right one to make your wife excited about your business venture.Awesome movie though. Scary!
Oh yeah some of the "dialogue" in those silent films is hilarious. So corny. Nosferatu gives me endless creeps, though. It is so... weird! The creepiest part of the Phantom for me was when he took the reed and walked under water to go murder that guy. I didn't like that. Nosferatu, though, there is a whole lot of freaky in that movie.
